Geography
Togo is a country in West Africa, sharing borders with Benin in the west, Burkina Faso to the north and Ghana in the west. This is one of the smaller African states with 56 785 km2, stretching 550 Km from north to south with a width not exceeding 130 km from east to west. This small size does not prevent Togo to be recognized for the great diversity of landscapes : a sandy coastline fringed with coconut palms in the south, the hills, green valleys and low mountains in central and large baobab savanna planted north.
Togo more than 5,4 million with a density 95 inhabitants/km2.
The country earns about a million people every ten years. This is a very young population since at least half of 15 years, this is due to a high birth rate (34‰), but also because of a life expectancy of 53 years on average. Finally, the urban population is 35% but with a rural exodus, in the image of Dekpo.
